We got a call-out to a Tesla Model Y that had taken what looked like a shortcut through one of those new housing estates with no houses yet, just clay, ruts, and puddles. The driver was just trying to get home but ended up well and truly stuck.

A Mazda 3 came by and stopped to check if the Tesla driver was okay, didn’t even get out of the car, just trying to help. But even just pulling up was enough for the Mazda to sink in too.

When the Blackstock Roadside Service D-MAX arrived, it was time to get serious. The ground was slick and soft, but we had the gear for it.

We used the winch to pull the Mazda 3 out first, nice and steady.

Then hooked up the snatch strap to the Tesla and eased it free without a scratch.

Two cars rescued, plenty of mud, and a couple of grateful drivers who’ll probably think twice before driving through a new estate after rain.
